CHILDRESS — Tuesday, Oct. 21, a Cessna 172 stopped for fuel on its way from Oklahoma to El Paso.Wednesday, Oct. 22, a Challenger flew in from New York to drop off passengers before heading to Colorado; a Cessna 182 came in for fuel; and a Cessna 172, from Montana, practiced in the area.

CHILDRESS — The 2025 Vance L. “Huck” Castleberry and Terry L. Keener awards were presented during the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Childress District’s annual Safety Banquet and Wellness Fair on Friday, Oct. 24.
Trick-or-treaters will hit downtown Childress from 5:30-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31 for Childress Chamber of Commerce’s Downtown Trick-or-Treating event.
