Coffee Memorial Blood Center is teaming up with local police departments, fire departments and emergency medical service providers for the Boots & Badges Childress Community Blood Drive, scheduled for 1-6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15 at Fair Park City Auditorium. A friendly competition between the local police officers, firefighters and emergency medical technicians (EMTs), all donors who answer the call to save lives can vote for their favorite agency. All donors will be entered into a door prize drawing, as well as receive a Boots & Badges T-shirt.
