“On a goal of 16, we had a total of 15 donors processed, giving us 100% of our goal,” said Coffee Memorial Blood Center Administrative Coordinator Cassandra Neal. “We had a total of 19 screened, but only 15 were able to donate. Out of the 15, we had four double red blood cell donations, which count as double products, giving us 100% of our goal.” The recent Boots & Badges Wellington Community Blood Drive took place Thursday, Aug. 10 at the Wellington Ambulance Barn, located at 703 Ft. Worth St. Assisted by Coffee Blood Center staff, Mike Belew, left, and Michael Stanley opened the drive with their donations.
