WELLINGTON – In a heartwarming celebration of a love that has withstood the test of time, family and friends gathered on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 12, to honor Oran and Karon Peters Sain on their 50th wedding anniversary.
During a reception at the couple’s home of 30 years, their children served cake and punch to family and friends from the same table that the Sains’ original wedding cake was served on Aug. 11, 1973, at Trinity Methodist Church.
To further mark this remarkable milestone, they also invited family and friends to join them for a dinner and sing-along at the couple’s latest restoration project, a newly remodeled train car they have named “The Boxcar.”
