BASIC EMT CLASS Wellington Emergency Medical Service is offering a Basic Emergency MedicalTechnician (EMT) course beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24. Classes will be from 6-10 p.m. every Tuesday and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. one Saturday per month.Applicants must be able to pass a drug screening and background check, have a valid driver’s license and must be able to provide a shot record. Cost is $400, which includes the textbook, clinical paperwork, uniform shirt, name tag, drug screening and in-house background check. Students must turn 18 years old and graduate high school or obtain a GED before taking the National Registry exam.
