Memphis Chamber to host Christmas light contest

MEMPHIS — In an effort to make Memphis shine this holiday season, Memphis Chamber of Commerce will host a Christmas in the Park light contest Monday, Dec. 18 at Memphis City Park.
Surrounded by his family, Kevin Hamby, center, celebrates his retirement from the Wellington Volunteer Fire Department, where he served for 38 years. Through the years serving his community, Hamby took on the role of fire chief. His most memorable moment is when the fire station burned in 1995.
