CHILDRESS — Tuesday, May 2, a Cessna 172 stopped in for fuel. Wednesday, May 3, a local Mooney flew in, and another Mooney fueled up on its way from McAllen to Kansas. Thursday, May 4, a Beechcraft King Air dropped off passengers on its way from Lubbock to Quanah.

STORY VEST MEMORIAL The 3rd Annual Story Vest Memorial Calf Roping is set for Friday, May 5 at the Mashburn Event Center and Arena. The top 50 calf ropers in the world will compete in three rounds beginning at 2 p.m., followed by the top 12 calf ropers in the short round at 6 p.m.
