Celebrating National Nurses Week, observed Tuesday, May 6-Monday, May 12, Wellington Care Center (WCC) staff jumps back in time—some a decade, others to the Stone Ages—during Throwback Thursday, May 8.

Area happenings

Events are listed free of charge for nonprofit civic organizations, schools and community events. Submit listings at least two weeks ahead of the date. Listings will run throughthe date of the event. Emailed submissions are preferred to news@redriversun.

Childress Independent School District’s (ISD) Summer Feeding Program will run Tuesday, May 27-Friday, June 27, offering free meals to children and teens 18 years of age and younger. Meals, available for dine-in or to-go, are served from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Adults may purchase a meal for $5.
