Muralist commissioned to stamp downtown Wellington

WELLINGTON – Folks watch in anticipation as muralist Malcom Byers launched his depiction of Collingsworth County on the long building at 915 West Ave., conveniently owned by Mayor Larry Adams, on Tuesday, June 10.

Collingsworth County Chamber revives Wellington’s parade

WELLINGTON – Could the Collingsworth Chamber of Commerce 2018 “Transportation, Then and Now” themed parade, where the late Mary Brim served as parade marshal, be the most recent Wellington parade? Vendors set up at Ellison Park and the county fair transpired at the Bura Handley Community Center.

CLARENDON — Clarendon College History Instructor Dr. Ken McIntosh, the grandson of W.E. Dode McIntosh, recently donated personal papers, photographs and memorabilia belonging to W.E. Dode McIntosh, a prominent figure in Creek history as Principal Chief, 1961-1972, to the Oklahoma Historical Society.
