Memphis ISD students named to Superintendent’s List

MEMPHIS — Memphis Independent School District (ISD) recognizes fifth six weeks Superintendent’s List students. Students are named to the Superintendent’s List for having the highest grade point average in their class, along with no tardies, absences or office referrals.

Memphis ISD Summer Food Service Program underway

MEMPHIS — The Memphis Independent School District (ISD) Summer Food Service Program is underway, according to Memphis ISD Food Service Director Sherree Foster. A federally-funded program administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture, breakfast will be served from 7:45-8:30 a.m.

Wellington’s Caleb Stickland awarded Golden Spread Electric Cooperative’s 2025 Directors’ Memorial Scholarship

AMARILLO — Eight students, including Wellington’s Caleb Strickland, were recently selected to receive Golden Spread Electric Cooperative’s 2025 Directors’ Memorial Scholarship. The eight students who received the scholarship are:Kaden Perry, son of Boyd and Steffani Perry, of Keyes, Okla.

Childress’ Daren Pratt named to ACU’s Spring 2025 Dean’s Honor Roll

ABILENE — Darren Pratt, a Childress High School Class of 2023 graduate, was recently named to Abilene Christian University’s (ACU) Spring 2025 Dean’s Honor Roll. Pratt, a senior biochemistry major, is among more than 1,500 students named to the Spring 2025 Dean’s Honor Roll.
