Childress High School students qualify for UIL Academic State Meet

CHILDRESS — Recently competing at the Region 1 UIL Academic Meet, Childress High School’s Chrissy Delgado and Avery Keys qualified for the upcoming UIL Academic State Meet.To qualify, Delgado placed second in Editorial Writing, while Keys placed third in Ready Writing.

The 138th Annual Childress County Old Settlers Rodeo took place Friday, April 18-Saturday, April 19, welcoming rodeo performances, as well as the crowning of the Old Settlers King and Queen, the annual parade, a host of vendors and food trucks and, of course, a weekend full of cowboy fun.
