Hall County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Paramedic Jace Frances awards Mikayla Ledbetter the David Eades Memorial Scholarship. A 2024 graduate of Memphis High School, Ledbetter’s mother, Lasonya McIntosh, has served with the Hall County EMS for over 22 years. Recently, Ledbetter graduated from Clarendon College, where she earned an associate’s degree. Next, Ledbetter plans to attend Covenant School of Radiology. HALL COUNTY EMS
Childress High School freshman Quay Bruce accepts accolades from Wellington Glynn Moore Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 6439 Quartermaster Jr. Castillo. Bruce won the Patriot’s Pen essay contest at the Post level, and his essay advanced to the VFW District 9 level that encompasses the Texas Panhandle.
