In its 30th year of operation, students in Wellington Opportunity Center, Inc.’s (WOCI) free six-week summer session head to the Ritz Theatre’s Monday matinee on June 16, the second week of the summer session. Youth entering first-sixth grade are invited to participate from 9 a.m.-2:45 p.m. Monday-Thursday. WOCI programing, through Thursday, July 17, includes daily breakfast, lunch and a snack; Ritz Monday matinees; visits from the Amarillo Discovery Center and Amarillo Zoo; and local field trips to the Wellington Activity Center (WAC), Wellington Aquatics Venue (WAV), Pioneer Park, Collingsworth Public Library and more, as well as onsite recreation, arts and crafts and weekend nutrition program.
