I called the Hill Country home for more than 20 years. Recently, I moved back to Wellington, but my heart never left. Now, from a distance, I watch in disbelief as this region I once took for granted is swallowed by floodwaters and storm devastation.
The backroads I drove daily. The neighborhoods where friends live. The hills and creeks that once brought calm. All changed in a matter of hours.
