Photography winners named

From 106 photographs submitted by the public, Wellington Methodist Women (WMW) display the winning entries, which include first place, “My New Best Friend” by Judy Gurule; second place, “Cheese” a selfie by Libby Chandler; third place, “The Cotton Man’s Legacy” by Myka Kelch; and honorable mention, “You Talking to Me?” by Natasha Mixon. Visitors received a ballot to cast their favorite photo during the free exhibit from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5 in the Fellowship Hall of First Methodist Church. Collingsworth County 4-H youth exhibited 20 photographs and over 50 craft projects. Organizers Karen Caldwell and Leslie Schnaufer thank all who entered photos and dropped by on Saturday for the bake sale, which included free tea and ice water during the Wild & Free on 83 photography display.
