Wellington Professional Women plan recruitment reception

WELLINGTON – The Wellington Professional Women’s (WPW) Organization is planning a reception for women interested in learning more about the club. Set for 6 p.m. Monday Aug. 28 at the Methodist Fellowship Hall, members welcome all women who have a heart for serving others. Refreshments will be served.

WPW meets once a month, September through May, and membership dues are $25 per year. Those attending the reception do not have to join.

Originally named Business and Professional Women’s Organization and established in 1938, the club was affiliated with the national organization. In 2005, members voted to change to WPW in order to separate from the national organization, which would allow the organization to keep all funds for local use.
