While researching the names on the Collingsworth County War Memorial, I came across the name of a fellow Marine from Lubbock who was killed in Vietnam. As the 248th Birthday of the United States Marine Corps approaches, followed the next day by Veterans Day, I thought readers of “The Red River Sun” might be interested to know a little about Lt. Lee Roy Herron.
