AMARILLO — Childress’ Da’Reon Mathis and Wellington’s Brenden Garcia and Travon Lewis were recently named to Amarillo Globe-News’ Top Football Performers from Last Week in the Texas Panhandle, announced Monday, Nov. 13.
Mathis, a senior running back, ran up 135 yards and two touchdowns in the Bobcats’ bi-district win over Abernathy to earn a spot on the list, while Garcia caught two passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns and Lewis ran for 127 yards and three scores in the Skyrockets’ win.
