CHILDRESS — Childress and Wellington players were recently named to the 2023 Amarillo Globe-News Preseason Boys and Girls Basketball Super Teams, announced Sunday, Nov. 12.
Making First Team honors for the second consecutive year, Childress’ Aiden Allen made the Preseason Boys Basketball Super Team as a guard, averaging 15.6 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game his junior season, while teammate Billy Moore, a senior, made Honorable Mentions.
Representing the Skyrockets, Preseason Boys Basketball Super Team Second Team selection Brenden Garcia, a junior, was listed in Sparks off the Bench, averaging 12.3 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, while seniors Bryant Tarver and Carson Tarver made Honorable Mentions.
