    Elixir.

    The intriguing word connotes health and hip spirituality. Elixirs are trending. The y ’ v e even got elixir bars in places like New York City and Los An ge l e s and Santa Fe and Boulder. When I asked my husband what the word “elixir” meant to him, he said “snake oil,” as if elixir bars and medicine shows might be connected.

    I’m thinking elixir bars might be a little more like Cracker Barrel…
