Celebrating National Education Association’s Read Across America Week, an annual reading motivation and awareness program that called children to celebrate reading with the theme “Celebrating a Nation of Diverse Readers,” Childress Elementary School will host a Book Fair Monday, March 4-Friday, March 8. “Parents are welcome to attend with their child’s class,” CES Principal Tracey Blake said. “Please remember, you will have to present valid identification to check-in as a visitor at the school.” Additionally, students are encouraged to dress-up in accordance with featured Dr. Suess books throughout the week, including “Dr. Suess’s Sleep Book,” “The Cat in the Hat” and “My Many Colored Days.”
