Childress FCCLA team earns culinary scholarships

The Childress High School (CHS) Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Entrepreneurship Level 3 team of Amelia Valadez, Ethan Herbstritt and Jasmin Luna receive scholarships from the Escoffier School of Culinary Arts, following their bronze-place finish at the FCCLA Region 1 Leadership Conference in Lubbock. “I’m so proud of these three and the work they’ve put into their project,” CHS FCCLA Adviser Amy Detwiler said. “To each by awarded a $2,000 scholarship is really exciting.” The team will compete at the State Leadership Conference Friday, April 12-Sunday April 14 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas.
