In less than 24 hours, the Wellington community raised $1,150 for Canadian wildfire victims. Wellington High School (WHS) Principal Jermaine Cantu presented the checks and cash to Canadian High School Principal James Bryant at the track meets in Canadian, prior to spring break. In conjunction with Collingsworth County Chamber of Commerce President Karen Caldwell, the WHS Student Council contributed $200 and collected donations to benefit fire victims in Canadian. Collingsworth County residents dropped off cash to the school office and to Caldwell at the museum to show Skyrocket love to friends in Canadian.
