SPEARMAN — The Childress Bobcats picked up their second consecutive district win against the Spearman Lynx Friday, Oct. 20, thanks to Scout Smith, who, with a tied score and less than a minute on the clock, ran the ball in from a yard out to secure the Bobcats’ 28-21 victory.
Smith also put up a two-yard touchdown, which kicked off the Bobcats’ first-quarter scoring streak, as well as amassed nine tackles, while running back Da’Reon Mathis rushed for a team-high 104 yards on 16 carries and a touchdown, and quarterback Drake Rabe went 12-of-16 for 121 yards with a touchdown and an interception.
