WELLINGTON — The Wellington Skyrockets were bested in a 10-1 final against Clarendon, which boasted an early lead, Tuesday, March 28. On the mound, Barret Phillips surrendered seven runs on seven hits over five innings, striking out three and walking one.

LUBBOCK — Lubbock Christian University Lady Chaparral Grace Foster, a 2021 Childress High School graduate, was recently selected to the 2022-2023 Non-D1 All-Texas Women’s Basketball Team, as well as named All-Texas Most Valuable Player.

CANYON — Competing against 20 other teams, the Memphis Cyclones and Lady Cyclones took on the Kelly Brown Memorial High School Classic Friday, March 31 at West Texas A&M University. Results are as follows. Varsity Boys 3,200 Meters 7 Ryder Robison 11:03.27 High Jump 12 Dresden Johnso 5-08.

CHILDRESS — Five Childress Lady Cats, including Cameran Daniel, Adah Henderson, Aspen Lomax, Kate Taylor and Chloe Teichelman, were selected to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) and Texas Girls Coaching Association (TGCA) All-State and Academic All-State Teams.
