Lady Cyclones compete in Lockney Tournament

LOCKNEY — Competing in the Lockney Tournament Thursday, Feb. 23 through Saturday, Feb. 25, the Memphis Lady Cyclones went 1-3, falling to New Home, Lockney and Petersburg. Beginning the tournament, the Lady Cyclones lost to New Home in a 13-11 final.

The junior varsity and varsity Wellington Skyrocket baseball team competes in the Childress Tournament in Childress. Varsity plays San Jacinto at 3 p.m. on Friday. Junior varsity plays Childress at 10 a.m. on Saturday, followed by varisty versus Sanford- Fritch at 12:30 p.m.

WELLINGTON — Five Wellington Skyrocket football players, including Nixon Folk, Jordan Nation,Ethan Nevarez, Rey Ramirez and Blake Strickland, were recently named to the 2022 Padilla Poll Coaches 2A Division 2 All-State Team, announced Monday, Jan.23. Selections are as follows.
