Competing in the recent district invitational, the Childress Lady Cat golf team secures a second-place team finish, propelling themselves to the regional round. As an individual, Colee Cox took the district championship title. The Lady Cats will compete at the regional invitational Wednesday, April 15-Thursday, April 16 at Shady Oaks Golf Course in Baird. WELLINGTON — Opening district play, the Wellington Skyrockets put up a 16-6 win over the Quanah Indians Tuesday, March 24 in Wellington.Leo Granadoz, Colton Jernigan and Trevyn Wiebe combined for four of the team’s seven hits in the victory, scoring seven runs and driving in two.
