Wellington Elementary Sparklers earn District UIL Academic Meet Championship

WELLINGTON – Wellington Elementary School (WES) Principal Deidre Kane congratulated students, faculty and staff for winning first place at the recent District UIL Academic Meet at an awards ceremony in the Wellington Independent School District (ISD) Cafeteria Tuesday morning, Dec. 16.
With the prizes provided by Collingsworth County Farm Bureau, the Wellington Volunteer Fire Department gun and thermal raffle will take place during the annual varmint hunt weigh-in at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11 at the fire department. The winner of the 22 Arc Brenton USAS Scout 18” rifle must be 18 years old and pass a background check. For more information, contact Ethan Cummings, 806-204-1309.
