Wellington ISD Board of Trustees welcome guest on girls’ sports

WELLINGTON – The Wellington Independent School District (ISD) Board of Trustees met in regular session at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10 in the Superintendent’s Office.Board President Cody Phillips called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with a quorum present. Mark Lemons offered a word of prayer.

The Red River Sun/Bev OdomWellington Care Center hosts its Community Fall Festival from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30. A fundraiser for the residents’ Christmas gifts, visitors purchased tickets at the door.

Ritz Theatre presents Halloween Spooktacular

Wellington Ritz TheatreThe Wellington Ritz Theatre hosted ghosts and goblins for its 2025 Halloween Spooktacular event, where moviegoers brought a canned food item for free entry at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27. Costume photos began at 6 p.m., and “The Addams Family” served as the feature film.

Wellington Methodist WomenJohnny Henard claims the 2025 Wellington Methodist Women’s quilt Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Fellowship Hall of First Methodist Church. A relative, Tessa Henard Pendergraft, of Amarillo, drew Henard’s name from the hundreds of red tickets in the gold tumbler.
