JR. FIREFIGHTER PROGRAM Interested in becoming a firefighter? Join Childress Fire Department’s Junior Firefighter Program, which will be hld Oct. 3 through May 5, including two days per week of class and training.
Applicants must be at least 17 years of age and enrolled in school. The program is limited to 10 spots.Applications must be turned into the Childress Fire Department no later than Sept. 19. Following, interviews will be scheduled, and the selection of applicants will be announced Sept. 26. Following completion of the program, students will have the opportunity to become volunteer firefighters with the Childress Fire Department.
