Collingsworth County resident Lucy Owens reports that she nearly got bit leaving work at Wellington Tractor Parts, just south of town on Hwy 83, Monday, Sept. 19 by this “big fella.” Definitely a rattlesnake, she wants to spread the word that it pays to stay alert, especially right now, as rattlesnakes are on the move.
