In less than 24 hours, the Wellington community raised $1,150 for Canadian wildfire victims. Wellington High School (WHS) Principal Jermaine Cantu presented the checks and cash to Canadian High School Principal James Bryant at the track meets in Canadian, prior to spring break.

Memphis Middle School students and staff collect non-perishable foods, hygiene items, diapers, baby wipes, baby formula, first-aid supplies, pet supplies, blankets and water for Texas Panhandle wildfire victims. The items were packed for northbound shipment Tuesday, March 5.

WELLINGTON – Traveling from the small community of Serbin, then south 60 miles to Schulenburg, and points in between the Texas Hill Country, Pat Barnett, with Adelle Barnett, Lion Linda Powell and Carol Baker, of Waco, experienced the Painted Churches of Texas tour in October 2023.
