Wellington Lions plan pancake breakfast fundraiser

WELLINGTON – Lion Lori O’Rear volunteered to chair the annual Wellington Lions Club pancake breakfast fundraiser set for Saturday, April 1. Pancakes will be served from 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the Fellowship Hall of the First Methodist Church (FMC), 911 Bowie St. Cost is $10 per plate.

WHS ‘Frankenstein’ production qualifies for area

STINNETT – Wellington High School’s (WHS) 2023 One Act Play, “Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein,” advanced to the area contest with its bi-district performance Wednesday, March 8 in Stinnett. Named Best Performer/Best Actor was Kaseten Welch as The Monster.

AMARILLO – Wellington High School art instructor Marnie Kane’s students competed in the Area Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE) competition on Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Arts in the Sunset Complex in Amarillo.
