The Senior Community Café serves 64 guests for its Thursday, Dec. 22 lunch. An extension of the Collingsworth County Home Delivered Meal service, the café is located in the Wellington Senior Citizen Center, 904 Amarillo St.

Youth of the First Baptist Church (FBC) Wellington report being blessed to sing Christmas carols to several very special people the evening of Thursday, Dec. 22. In turn, they blessed those they visited and even got to sing “Happy Birthday” to a special someone.

Modern Home Club holds annual Dutch Treat Christmas Luncheon

CHILDRESS — Modern Home Club met at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 15 for the annual Dutch Treat Christmas Luncheon at Garibaldi’s Restaurant. Member Soundra Christy welcomed those present and voiced concerns for those that were unable to attend due to illness. A blessing was voiced for the meal.

Special to The Sun CANYON – More than 50 West Texas A&M University (WT) students took part in a special pre-commencement ceremony Friday, Dec. 9. The Donning of the Stoles ceremony - a tradition among African American, Native American, Hispanic and international students - began at 6 p.m.
