Collingsworth Public Library will welcome Wes Reeves, a 1987 graduate of Wellington High School, for a reading and signing of his new poetry book, “Yellow Dirt,” at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21. Reeves, the son of Katherine and the late Don Reeves. has served in media relations at Xcel Energy in Amarillo for the past 25 years and is married to Kim Castleberry Reeves, also a native of Wellington. Collingsworth Public Library will welcome Wes Reeves, a 1987 graduate of Wellington High School, for a reading and signing of his new poetry book, “Yellow Dirt,” at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21. Reeves, the son of Katherine and the late Don Reeves.
The Collingsworth County Ministerial Alliance invites citizens of the area to gather for the annual Thanksgiving Community Worship Service at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20 at the First United Methodist Church, 901 Bowie St. Calvary Baptist Church Minister Noah Downing will serve as the guest speaker. Participants are encouraged to bring canned food for the local food pantry. Additionally, an offering will be taken to replenish the Collingsworth County Ministerial Alliance’s bank account. Methodist Women embrace Covey’s love of quilting

WELLINGTON – The Methodist Women added a new feature to its 2022 Fall Bazaar fundraiser event. With two quilts constructed and hand-quilted by Odessa Covey, the ladies decided to conduct an auction.

‘Cheese day’ eagerly awaited by numerous county seniors

CHILDRESS— Whatever the official name, the first Wednesday of each month in Childress is designated as “cheese day” by the senior residents who receive a Community Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) box.
