New and returning Childress District of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) summer interns kick off the season, refreshing on safety protocol in a comprehensive orientation led by Safety Officer Jeremy Beck.
The 3rd Annual Childress Cam Winders Classic Car Show, welcoming vintage rides, vendors, food trucks and more, will take place beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 7 at Fair Park in Childress. Cash prizes for Best of Show and People’s Choice, as well as first- and second-place trophies, will be awarded. For more information, contact Jennifer Rodriguez at 806-204-0253. MEMPHIS — The Memphis Independent School District (ISD) Summer Food Service Program is underway, according to Memphis ISD Food Service Director Sherree Foster.A federally-funded program administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture, breakfast will be served from 7:45-8:30 a.m.
