WELLINGTON – The western décor exhibit in the Ellis Art Center of Collingsworth County Museum, interspersed with fresh floral arrangements, served as the backdrop for the afternoon Woman of the Year Tea from 2-3:30 p.m. Friday, April 18, hosted by Wellington Professional Women’s (WPW) Club.

The Childress Farmers Market opens the 2025 season Saturday, April 19 on Commerce St. in downtown Childress. Markets are held from 9 a.m.-noon the third Saturday of the month, spanning through November.

With the Easter season and spring in the air, Collingsworth Public Library’s entry display case contains hats from the collection of Ethel Breeding Coleman. “We appreciate the Sims family loaning us the collection,” said Librarian Vicki Decker.
