Elementary students ignite senses during snow day

Childress Elementary School teacher Bergan Fairchild’s class brings the snow day inside of the classroom, using the fresh snow to learn about their five senses. After using their senses to define the snow, students constructed a descriptive paragraph to record their findings.

Young scientists study plant life

Childress Elementary School teacher Lauren Reed’s class grows their own bean seeds, providing them with basic needs, including sunlight and water. Over the course of six weeks, the students will observe and record the growth of their beanstalks.
