    CHILDRESS—Childress Elementary School (CES) and Childress Junior High School (CJHS) recently won 2022 UIL Academic District Contest meets at Shallowater Independent School District (ISD), surpassing competitor schools Abernathy and Shallowater for first-place finishes.

    “Congratulations to the CES UIL teams,” CES Principal Janet Word said. “Childress won the meet. [We have some] awesome kids,awesome…
