Lee sentenced to 10 years in prison

PANHANDLE – On April 14, Koua Lee, 41, was sentenced to 10 years in prison after a contested adjudication hearing in the Carson County District Courtroom, where he was found guilty of the second- degree felony offense of possession of marijuana.

District Attorney of the 100th Judicial District Luke Inman, along with Assistant District Attorney Harley Caudle, prosecuted the case for the State of Texas, with the Honorable Judge Stuart Messer presiding.

Lee, of Brooklyn Park, Minn., was arrested with approximately 140 pounds of marijuana on Nov. 2, 2017, by Department of Public Safety (DPS) Trooper Danny Nunez.
