CHILDRESS — If it seems like the Childress County Old Settlers Rodeo is here sooner than usual, that’s because it is.
This year, the longest consecutive rodeo in the State of Texas is scheduled three months earlier than its normal third weekend in July, now taking place Friday,April 21 and Saturday, April 22.
Why? Because of the heat, Childress Old Settlers Director Stephanie Martin said.
