Wellington DRI project update: Contractors restore brick street

The Red River Sun/Bev Odom Wellington’s Downtown Revitalization Improvements project encompasses restoring the brick street in front of the historic Wellington Ritz Theatre. Contractor AAJ Concrete employees work Tuesday morning, Aug. 16, on the endeavor. Additionally, Trinity Hughes Construction works on transforming the former Lewis Grocery and R&R Electric, seen on the left corner, into a supplementary Ritz Theatre property. The two-story structure will house a commercial kitchen and venue area downstairs and provide offices upstairs.
