Baker named TxDOT Childress Area Engineer

CHILDRESS — Jordan Baker, P.E., has been named Childress Area Engineer for the Childress District of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and will assume his new role beginning Wednesday, April 1.

MEMPHIS — Employees and customers of Memphis Drug were shocked Tuesday, March 31 to learn the store is permanently closing this week, effective 1 p.m. Friday, April 3.
In the cosmetology business for 58 years, Lameda’s Cut and Curl will serve area clients through Thursday, April 30, at which time she plans to close her shop on the corner of Floydada St. and 9th St. in Wellington. “I’m so thankful for the patronage and friendship through the years,” emphasized Lameda Black.
