Collingsworth County Sheriff’s Office dispatchers received 911 call at 3:08 p.m. Thursday, March 19 for a house fire in the 1100 block of Haskell St. As temperatures hovered around 100 degrees, the Wellington Volunteer Fire Department responded with 13 firefighters and seven units, along with Constable Ronnie Ward, Wellington Emergency Medical Services and the Texas Department of Transportation.
