Rocket Regiment musicians earn All-Region Band honors

PANHANDLE – Wellington High School (WHS) Rocket Regiment stand-out students traveled to Panhandle on Monday, Dec. 8 to audition for the Association of Texas Small School Bands (ATSSB) All-Region Band.

Wellington Elementary Sparklers earn District UIL Academic Meet Championship

WELLINGTON – Wellington Elementary School (WES) Principal Deidre Kane congratulated students, faculty and staff for winning first place at the recent District UIL Academic Meet at an awards ceremony in the Wellington Independent School District (ISD) Cafeteria Tuesday morning, Dec. 16.

Hicks Media, LLC and The Clarendon Enterprise today announced the sale of The Red River Sun to Roger and Ashlee Estlack of Clarendon.The sale brings the Sun under the management of the Texas Panhandle’s oldest newspaper although the two papers will continue to be separate publications.
