WELLINGTON — Five pleas took place in the 100th Judicial District Court via the internet-based meeting app Zoom.
District Attorney for the 100th Judicial District Luke Inman, along with Assistant District Attorney Harley Caudle, prosecuted the cases for the State of Texas, with the Honorable Judge Stuart Messer presiding.
Mark Don Renteria, 38, of Amarillo, was convicted and sentenced to ten years in prison for the third-degree felony offense of driving while intoxicated, third or more. However, the court probated the prison sentence for a period of three years.
Renteria was arrested by Carson County Deputy J.J. Zundt on June 24,2021.Renteria plead guilty to an information filed by the state on July 21.
Renteria was also ordered to pay $3,000 in fines to Carson County, $60 in lab restitution, $455 in court costs, successfully complete 200 hours of community service and comply with all other driving while intoxicated conviction requirements. If his probation is revoked,Renteria faces up to ten years in prison.
Amir Pulatov, 26, of Flushing, N.Y., was placed on two years of probation for the Class A misdemeanor offense of unlawful use of a criminal instrument Pulatov was arrested in Carson County on July 23, 2020, by 100th Judicial District Traffic Enforcement Division Officer Danny Dawson. Pulatov plead guilty to an information filed by the State on July 7.
Pulatov was also ordered to pay $4,000 in upfront fines and fees to Carson County, $340 in court costs, $180 in restitution and complete 100 hours of community service. If Pulatov violates probation, he could face up to one year in the Carson County jail.
Cham Meirov, 27, of Fort Hills, N.Y., was placed on two years of probation for the Class A misdemeanor offense of unlawful use of a criminal instrument Meirov was arrested in Carson County on July 23, 2020, by Dawson. Meirov plead guilty to an information filed by the state on July 7.
Meirov was also ordered to pay $4,000 in upfront fines and fees to Carson County, $340 in court costs, $180 in restitution and complete 100 hours of community service. If Meirov violates probation, he could face up to one year in the Carson County Jail.
Frank Lee Freeny, 24, of St. Louis, Mo., was placed on two years of probation for the Class A misdemeanor offense of possession of marijuana. Freeny was arrested by Department of Public Safety (DPS) Trooper Edgar Castillo on Jan. 21, 2021, and plead to an information filed by the state on March 16, 2021.
Freeny was also ordered to pay $4,000 in upfront fines and fees to Carson County, $340 in court costs and complete 100 hours of community service. If her probation is revoked, Freeny faces up to one year in the Carson County Jail.
Tony Marshun Boone, 33, of Antioch, Tenn., was placed on two years of probation for the Class A misdemeanor offense of unlawful use of a criminal instrument. Boone was arrested by DPS Trooper Alexandrea Moroles on March 17, 2020, and plead to an information filed by the state on Feb. 18.
Boone was also ordered to pay $4,000 in upfront fines and fees to Carson County, $340 in court costs, $180 in restitution and complete 100 hours of community service. If his probation is revoked, Boone faces up to one year in the Carson County Jail.
