CHILDRESS — The Childress County Commissioners Court revisited the recently enacted burn ban Monday, May 8, voting to keep the ban in action.

“It’s still scary out there,” Precinct 2 Commissioner Mark Ross said. “From what [Precinct 4 Commissioner] Rick [Elliott] and I are seeing, it’s not lush.”

The ban, which was enacted on Monday, April 24, is set to expire Saturday, July 22.
