WELLINGTON – Family and friends honored Emily Mae Wood, bride-elect of Casey Cummings, with an afternoon bridal shower on Sunday, May 7 in the BRIX Bar & Eatery, owned and operated by Julie and Burl Brim and located on the historic downtown Wellington square. Guests called at three o’clock in the afternoon. Hostess Lana Ward greeted guests and presented them to the honoree and her mother, Leslee Wood, of Abilene.
Guests enjoyed a stunning presentation of an assortment of hors d’oeuvres, including a cheese ball, ham-wrapped pickles, bacon pinwheels, Veronica thumbprint cookies, tortilla rolls,spiral meats and a charcuterie board,featuring fresh fruits,cheeses and savory snacks.Tall,white Phalaenopsis orchids wrapped in gold foil accented the serving table, and glittery, gold plates, cups and napkins completed the decor. Fruit punch refreshed visitors.
As guests mingled, they viewed the beautifully displayed gifts on black granite tables throughout the venue.
