Winds uproot a towering pine tree and other large trees in the southeast portion of Wellington Friday evening, July 7. A massive tree crashed onto the roof of a home next door, also causing substantial damage. Additionally, last week, tornado sirens sounded around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, sending several citizens to cellars for safety. Rural residents spotted a small tornado near Lutie.
