Childress City Council extends city manager’s contract, discusses water, wastewater rate increases

CHILDRESS — Meeting Monday, Aug. 28, the City of Childress City Council approved to extend City Manager Kevin Hodge’s contract, which expires Saturday, Sept. 30, for five years.

The current contract provides an annual salary of $110,000.

The council also discussed the upcoming increase in water and wastewater rates, which will go into effect Oct.1.
